Time flies, so to keep you in the loop, we’ve rounded up all the important snippets of fashion news from the past seven days into one neat feature. This week includes Kenzo’s FW24 campaign, Willow Smith for Acne Studios and some big industry moves. 

Celine Homme’s SS25 collection
It’s in a British country garden that Hedi Slimane set his SS25 Celine Homme collection film. This season saw Hedi Slimane’s dedication to examining British codes of dressing continue, but where the designer often taps into post-60s cultural epochs, here he looks to Britain’s version of the Roaring Twenties.

Palace x Vivienne Westwood
Born from a shared anti-spirit and predisposition for shaking up the status quo, the collection refashions Vivienne Westwood’s rebellious, tailored codes with the British skate brand’s synonymous streetwear aesthetic. Consisting of clothing, accessories, jewellery and skateboards (naturally), the collection sees Palace step into the world of womenswear for the first time.

Solange Knowles for Wales Bonner
Musician and actress Solange Knowles is the new face of Wales Bonner, starring in the designer’s FW24 campaign, Dream Study. Photographed by Zoe Ghertner and styled by Camilla Nickerson in New York City, the campaign features key pieces from Bonner’s latest collection, as Solange cuts a striking silhouette in Italian-inspired tailoring and sumptuous cashmere pieces.

Glenn Martens is stepping down from Y/Project
After eleven years at the helm of Y/Project, Glenn Martens is relinquishing his duty as creative director of the Paris-based label. A press release shared by the house reads, “Glenn Martens thanks Y/PROJECT and Gilles Elalouf, the late CEO of the brand who tragically passed away last June, for giving him the support and freedom to express his vision while expanding on the creative artistry that the label established.”

Aries x Puma drop their first collab
After teasing the collection at New York Fashion back in February, London-based streetwear label Aries has finally unveiled their first collaboration with Puma. The collaboration features a series of striking graphics on experimental knitwear, nylon outerwear and luxury sweats alongside a reworked vision the iconic Puma Mostro.

Kenzo heads to a new world for FW24
This season, Nigo is heading into uncharted territory for Kenzo’s FW24 campaign. Inspired by George Lucas’ use of the samurai films of Akira Kurosawa in the Star Wars universe, Nigo’s futuristic silhouettes fusing East and West design principals find their home in an extraterrestrial landscape. Photographed by Johnny Dufort and captured in moving imagery by Frank Lebon, Nigo’s cast of models embodies the designer’s sci-fi-infused vision.

Liam Gallagher for Stone Island
Back in 2017, Liam Gallagher’s Stone Island parka was stolen from Glastonbury never to be seen again. Fast forward seven years and the musician is now gearing up for an Oasis reunion and dripping in Stone Island 24/7, starring in the brand’s latest Community Campaign. Continuing to celebrate the culture at large, Stone Island’s latest instalment of the campaign project sees Gallagher joined by Peggy Gou as the first female star to be featured in a Stone Island campaign, alongside curator Russell Tovey, and musician and skateboarder Sage Elsesser.

Willow Smith stars in Acne Studios’ latest campaign
Debuted at Paris Fashion Week back in February, Acne Studios’ FW24 collection continued its love affair with denim and leather; two materials that have been integral to Jonny Johansson’s design world since the beginning. Now brought to life in an accompanying campaign by musician and actor Willow Smith, Johansson’s designs are photographed by Jordan Hemingway in a series of striking portraits.

Haider Ackermann is the new creative director of Tom Ford
Big news: Haider Ackermann has just been announced as the new creative director of Tom Ford. Effective today, Ackermann will be responsible for guiding “the creative vision for the overall brand” and replaces Peter Hawkings, who departed the brand this July after less than a year in charge.

Ahead of the brand’s upcoming London Fashion Week show, Bulgarian-American and British design duo Emma Chopova and Laura Lowena-Irons have unveiled a perfectly kitsch collaboration with Climax Books. Coinciding with the launch of Climax’s NYC Flagship, Chopova has built a wardrobe for the bookworm in us all.

Berluti on the Champs-Elysées
Fresh from designing France’s Olympic kit, Berluti is keeping things Parisian for its latest campaign. Presenting a series of seventeen images along the capital’s most iconic street, the Champs-Elysées is now home to an exhibition celebrating Berluti’s savoir-faire. On display just a stone’s throw from the Maison’s historic Rue Marbeuf boutique, the classic campaign images present footwear, leather goods and ready-to-wear pieces to passers-by in a collection of sky-high billboards.
