Snake hips
You can just imagine the phone conversation: “Hey Rosalía, fancy stripping down to your underwear and wrapping a giant snake around you?” – “Yeah, course.” And that’s what the Spanish musician has done, becoming the latest face of Calvin Klein for the brand’s FW25 underwear campaign, captured by Carlijn Jacobs as a series of seriously sexy images.
New digs
Acne Studios has opened its new Paris headquarters in the former Gomenol Laboratory, a 1930s building in the 10th arrondissement once home to the Prevet family’s herbal oil business. Preserving the site’s raw character while adding curated artworks and furnishings by close collaborators, creative director Jonny Johansson said, “It’s an ode to the building’s original beauty.” The opening follows the 2019 launch of Acne Studios’ Stockholm headquarters, expanding the brand’s commitment to architecturally rich, art-focused workspaces.
Ten Balenciaga fragrances
In 1947, Cristóbal Balenciaga introduced Le Dix, his first perfume. Meaning “The Ten” in French, it referred to Balenciaga’s historical headquarters on 10 Avenue George V. To both honour the past and to look toward the new era that Balenciaga is entering, the house has unveiled ten new fragrances, including a “reverential reconstruction” of Le Dix.
Nicholas Daley is coming for the ticket touts
Fresh off a BFC Menswear Designer of the Year nomination, Daley has teamed up with O2 on a limited-edition ‘Touts Out’ tee as part of his ongoing Woven Rhythms project championing music and culture. The slogan tee design channels the collective rage of gig-goers being fleeced out of £145 million a year by resale sharks – underscored by the recent Oasis drama. Buy the tee now for £45 at nicholasdaley.net, with 10 percent of proceeds going to music therapy charity Nordoff and Robbins.
Solid Homme remixes the Alpha Industries MA-1
Merging the South Korean brand’s vision of contemporary masculinity with Alpha Industries’ military heritage, the limited-edition jacket arrives in black, khaki and navy, each complete with Alpha Industries’ signature Red Tag and a specially designed Solid Homme Black Tag.
Olivier Theyskens is back
Belgian designer Olivier Theyskens has announced that he is to inaugurate a brand new fashion house, Boloria, and with the help of Willy Vanderperre, we already have some early previews of what to expect from the brand. The preview imagery features suits that are half-made, the needles and threads still visible. We can’t wait to see more.
Birkenstock 1774’s Berlin collection
Inspired by Berlin’s architecture, Birkentsock’s ‘1774 Becomes Berlin Collection’ turns to art nouveau references and contemporary designs. Styles such as the Florida and Arizona are given a makeover with bows and buckles, while the archival Maria silhouette is reintroduced in hues of black and burgundy.
Napajiri’s FW25 collection
Titled A Geography of Time, Napajiri’s latest collection traces a journey from the brand’s founding in the peaks of Courmayeur to the streets of Milan and the mountains of Cortina. Technical design meets archival silhouettes, resulting in garments fit for outdoor practicality and contemporary street style.
Lili Curia’s debut collection
Founded in London and crafted in studios between London and Florence, Lili Curia is the newest footwear brand on the scene. Inspired by a love of vintage treasure, each design starts from a found object or reference and is transformed with a modern sensibility featuring corset-inspired leather lacing and elegant kitten heels. The brand’s inaugural campaign features Tali Lennox, shot in a Victorian-esque set-up by Sammy King.
Cecilie Bahnsen’s North Face collab
The delicate design language of Cecilie Bahnsen is taking over the North Face’s outdoor-ready universe. The Scandinavian brand has reinvented the North Face’s bag offering, adorning khaki and black duffles with the designer’s signature skeleton flower – a very chic addition to your hiking gear.
