Glenn Martens is stepping down from Y/Project
By Ella Joyce | Fashion | 6 September 2024

After eleven years at the helm of Y/Project, Glenn Martens is relinquishing his duty as creative director of the Paris-based label. Since his appointment in 2013, the Belgian designer has continued to push the limits of creativity and design towards a distinctive avant-garde aesthetic. Under Martens’, Y/Project has grown exponentially with his ever-evolving vision and disruptive design language, taking the codes built by original founders Gilles Elalouf and Yohan Serfaty and reinterpreting them for a new generation. Whether Martens will still show at Paris Fashion Week in September has not been confirmed, but here’s hoping he gives us one last hurrah.

A press release shared by the house reads, “Glenn Martens thanks Y/PROJECT and Gilles Elalouf, the late CEO of the brand who tragically passed away last June, for giving him the support and freedom to express his vision while expanding on the creative artistry that the label established.”
