Weekend Combo
Anyone else a little bit hot? Just a touch warm? Absolutely fucking roasting? Nah, us neither.
Alison Brie and Dave Franco are together…
In Together, real life wife and husband Alison Brie and Dave Franco star as a couple who move to the countryside to save their relationship, only for things to take a turn for the supernatural real quick. The directorial debut of Australian filmmaker Michael Shanks, the film tore up the festival circuit earlier this year, leading to a vicious bidding war between practically every production company from A24 to Amazon.
Together is out now.
The Bourdon Street Chippy
The British artist Lucy Sparrow has become known for her felt recreations of quotidian objects, from Pepto Bismol bottles to Diptyque candles. In recent years, she has gone large scale with fully interactive art projects such as 2018’s Sparrow Mart, a life-size, all-felt recreation of a Los Angeles grocery store that included over 31,000 handmade felt objects. Now, she returns with the Bourdon Street Chippy, Britain’s first ever felt fish and chip shop, located at Mayfair’s Lyndsey Ingram Gallery. For six weeks only, you can step inside the felt chippy and be surrounded by over 65,000 individual hand-stitched felt pieces, such as menus, soft drinks, saveloys, pies and battered cods.
The Bourdon Street Chippy is open to the public every Wednesday — Sunday between 01 August and 14 September 2025 at Lyndsey Ingram Gallery, 20 Bourdon Street London W1K 3PL

Julio Torres tries to find a new colour
One of the most successful absurdist comedians of his generation, Julio Torres honed his craft in the Saturday Night Live writers’ room before releasing his acclaimed 2023 debut film Problemista, in which he starred opposite Tilda Swinton. This week, he brings his latest bizarre comedy show, Colour Theory, to the Soho Theatre for a limited run. In the show, Torres is tasked with discovering a brand-new colour. Perched at a desk with a camera projecting his every move, he works with crayons and paper to spin a whimsical, surreal narrative about colours. Expect plenty of Torres’ singular brand of absurdism.
Julio Torres: Colour Theory is running from August 11th to 16th at the Soho Theatre, Dean Street. Tickets can found here.
