Weekend Combo
Still, ’28 Days Later’ dir. Danny Boyle, 2002
It’s going to be a scorcher this weekend, so whether you’re a sun lover or a shadow dweller – enjoy! Sun lotion and ice cold tinnies are essentials.
The zombies are back
Two decades after redefining modern horror, Danny Boyle and Alex Garland return to the wasteland with 28 Years Later – and it’s everything fans have been waiting (and foaming) for. Dropping in cinemas this weekend, the film picks up the legacy of its predecessors with a fresh nightmare: a world even more fractured, desperate, and infected than before. As with the original, this isn’t just a zombie movie – it’s a stylish, sociopolitical gut-punch. While details are under wraps, early whispers promise new blood (and maybe some familiar faces) caught in a fight for something more than survival.
28 Years Later is in cinemas now.

Is This Love?
Cary Kwok is no stranger to East London’s Herald St, opening the doors to his sixth exhibition with the gallery last week. The Hong Kong-born, London-based British artist has become best known for his detailed blue biro drawings and humorous homoerotic paintings, often depicting scenes in vibrant hues and surrealist proportions. Titled Is This Love?, Kwok’s latest work sees him turn to a more understated vision of romance, working with a muted colour palette and understated silhouettes.
