Wales Bonner’s FW25 collection
This season, British designer Wales Bonner painted a portrait of the artist at work for the brand’s FW25 collection titled Saleh.

Presented in the form of a lookbook, Bonner’s meticulous approach to tailoring is felt in monochromatic slim suiting alongside playful knitwear and statement outerwear accented with faux shearling and metal fastenings. Continuing her collaboration with adidas Originals, this season offers elevated sportswear silhouettes and leather bowling bags. The collection also debuts a collaboration with Chicago-based artist Theaster Gates, bringing to life his ongoing series, The Black Image Corporation. The project focuses on Gates’ commitment to preserving the archives of the Johnson Publishing Company, highlighting images that honour the Black woman’s role in shaping culture globally. Through Wales Bonner, archive images from Ebony and Jet magazines or photography from Moneta Sleet Jr. and Isaac Sutton have been translated onto denim jacquard and reimagined in cobalt blue graphics.
