Craig Green’s second catwalk addressed chaos and control, “a faceless mass of darkly psychedelic figures”. Last week in London The Stone Roses played two nights in Finsbury Park, and as Green’s tie dye looks came round, the image of a John Squire paint-splatter sleeve came to mind, which might be down to those bucket hats as well as the pulsating, swirling colour that nodded to altered states dancing in a field. For the laboured ease of each individual sportswear garment, Green is conjuring something a lot bigger. It’s life as art, a sensory story. We’re witnessing serious talent.
