This season has been unlike any other. With Covid-19 sending the world into a tailspin, stunting global travel and gatherings, the usual fashion week formats have halted as designers sought to adapt. We’ve had innovative short films, pop-up lookbooks (cheers JW Anderson), livestreams and interviews.
As tends to happen, these challenges only heightened creativity, with brands and designers offering up collections that not only addressed the current conditions but used them to their advantage – using recycled materials from around the studio, cutting back on excessive looks and thriving on working within restrictions.
