Few invitations in menswear carry the weight of Pitti Immagine Uomo’s Guest Designer slot. This January, for its 111th edition, the fair turns to dunhill, with the British House set to show its FW27 collection in Florence for the first time.

Known for pairing sharp tailoring with a quiet cultural cool, dunhill arrives with a specific point of view: “Pitti Uomo holds a singular place in menswear, and it is a great honour to be invited to present the collection here,” says Creative Director Simon Holloway. “To bring our cutting-edge classicism to Florence, within a forum that has played such an important role in celebrating the art of menswear, feels especially meaningful.”

The Guest Designer slot has been a coveted slot for decades, from Giorgio Armani’s pivotal 1979 appearance to a more recent roll call that includes Raf Simons, Martine Rose and Grace Wales Bonner. With Pitti Uomo 110 expanding to four guest designers for the first time, including Simone Rocha’s debut standalone menswear show, dunhill joins as the latest British name welcomed to Florence.

“The presence of a brand as charismatic as dunhill, which draws on the very best of British sartorial tradition while reinterpreting it through a contemporary lens, reaffirms Pitti Uomo’s importance and unique position on the international menswear calendar,” says Ivano Cauli, CEO of Pitti Immagine. “It also highlights the event’s ability to move effortlessly between timeless style and the vibrant energy of the present.” FW27 picks up an ongoing conversation between British sartorial precision and Italian elegance.
