Time flies, so to keep you in the loop, we’ve rounded up all the important snippets of fashion news from the past seven days into one neat feature. 

On the golf green with Dior
With the return of Happy Gilmore and Dior’s new golf-inspired collection, the leisurely sport seems to be very much en vogue. Inspired as much by the world of golf as New York and Paris in the early 80s, Dior’s vision mixes argyll patterning with leather gloves, caps, and monogrammed golf bags and tee holders.

Julia Garner in Gucci silk
Shot by Steven Meisel and starring award-winning Julia Garner, Gucci celebrates its iconic archive silk scarves, illustrated with the house’s Flora motif, first introduced in 1966 by Italian illustrator Vittorio Accornero de Testa.

More Gucci scarf action

The house’s 90×90 project has given nine international artists free reign to reinterpret five iconic silk scarf designs from the Gucci archive – these will be curated within a new book, Gucci: The Art of Silk, The Story of Gucci Scarves, curated by Jo-Ann Furniss and published by Assouline.

Loewe launches the Madrid bag
First debuted on the SS25 runway and in David Sims’ summer campaign (modelled by Taylor Russell), Loewe’s Madrid silhouette is the newest addition to the brand’s ever-growing accessories repertoire. Crafted from supple leather in a soft trapezoid silhouette, the bag arrives in hues of khaki, burgundy and black.

Fendi bags unite
Fendi for Yourself is an ode to the house’s longstanding icons: the Baguette and Peekaboo bag. Celebrated in two short films featuring TikTok sensation Nara Aziza Smith, model Jordan Daniels and girl group KATSEYE, each star adopts the respective attitudes of Fendi’s instantly recognisable arm candy.

 

Moncler x Mercedes-Benz by Nigo
Moncler are no stranger to a blockbuster partnership, having previously teamed up with the likes of Rick Owens, Craig Green and Palm Angels. At the brand’s immersive The City of Genius show in Shanghai last year, the Moncler x Mercedes-Benz collaboration by Nigo was unveiled – complete with a G-Class Past II Future limited-edition car. Taking Nigo’s signature 90s hip-hop references and fusing them with silhouettes from Moncler’s archive, the collection features G-Class logo motifs alongside varsity jackets, hoodies, and checked shirts to match the car’s interior.

Ciao, Silvia! 
In celebration of Fendi’s 100-year anniversary, the house has reunited with Japanese artist TAROUT on a centenary collection. Designing cartoon sketches featuring four generations of the Fendi family in a tribute to the brand’s storied heritage, TAROUT’s imaginative designs are featured across Peekaboo bags, trainers and totes.

Two Westcoasters unite
UGG have teamed up with fellow SoCal designer Reece Cooper on a range of footwear designed to move with ease through diverse terrains. Reimagining UGG’s Classic Mini and Classic Ultra Mini through Cooper’s contemporary Americana spirit, the footwear styles embrace a technical, versatile ethos, designed in water-resistant fabric and with an elastic toggle to transform the silhouette. The collection comes with an aptly adventurous campaign.

The UGG Reese Cooper collaboration will be available 11th April at UGG.com, Reese- Cooper.com, and select retailers.

Vivienne Westwood in India
This week, Vivienne Westwood took us to Mumbai, presenting a capsule collection that celebrated the rich heritage of Indian craftsmanship. The couture designs were crafted from the finest natural hand-woven Indian silks and Khadi summer cottons, blending tradition with Westwood’s signature aesthetic.

The Italian house has unveiled its latest signature loafer, the Mocassin. Expertly crafted from supple leather, the refined design modernises the traditional silhouette through Zegna’s signature artisanal craft.
