HERO FRAMED
Robin Hunter Blake is fascinated with the human condition. Since first picking up a camera to document his friends skating in Barcelona, he has been using the medium to rationalise life’s complexities and the mind’s inner workings. Inspired by French artist and humanist photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson, it is evident Blake has studied the decisiveness and sincerity for which Cartier-Bresson is best known. Favouring strikingly contrasted monochrome over saturated hues, Blake’s next study of human nature lies in the precipice of love and violence as he confronts the intrinsic emotions in front of his lens.
