Enter Mac DeMarco’s Dreamland: behind the scenes at Mac’s Margate festival
On the last weekend of June, Mac DeMarco took over Margate’s Dreamland amusement park to curate his own mini-festival of music, rides and hella good times.
Here, amongst whirling teacups and helter-skelter twists, the Canadian jizz-jazz crooner brought together a line-up of top musical talent – including Kirin J Callinan, Aldous Harding and Amyl and the Sniffers – for a ripper experience that culminated in a livewire headline set from Mac himself, shaking the British seaside town to its maritime foundations.
