Ahead of Daniel Fletcher’s third runway show for Mithridate, we were given an exclusive preview of the forthcoming FW26 collection. This season, Fletcher draws inspiration from his own journey from London to Guangzhou, the Chinese home of Mithridate, tracing a creative dialogue between the two cities. Their connection runs deep – the first wisteria plant to reach Europe was brought from Guangzhou to London in the 19th century by John Reeves, and it still blooms along the Thames in Chiswick today.

“That journey of the Chinese wisteria planting long-lasting roots in England feels emblematic of my own journey with Mithridate,” says Fletcher. “The roots of the brand have now firmly established itself in its new London home.”

The collection promises Fletcher’s signature Britishisms, as seen in our preview images: crisp striped shirts paired with proper ties, super-cosy Aran knit jumpers, tailored wool jackets and vivid tweeds. Elsewhere, the designer’s new Borough studio draws inspiration from the area’s famous market, while this season also places a distinct focus on leather goods, including a tan holdall and a smart, structured day bag.

The Mithridate FW26 show will take place on Friday 20th February.
