Shot by Steven Meisel, Nicolas Ghesquière’s new Louis Vuitton SS25 campaign casts house ambassadors Lisa and Saoirse Ronan as contemporary portraits within the paintings of French conceptual artist Laurent Grasso. Grasso’s influence was felt across the collection itself; his vivid paintings of celestial scenes transposed to Renaissance-style landscapes translated across looks. Within the campaign three new works from his series, Studies in the Past, integrate surrealist black rectangles, reshaping boundaries and subverting the form.
