Alexi Lubomirski’s twenty year long career at the fore of fashion and celebrity portraiture has seen him welcomed into the private lives of some of the world’s most recognisable public figures. Having shot for publications and brands such as Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar, Variety, Ralph Lauren and Dior, the British photographer’s archive is as extensive as it is expressive.

Now, Lubomirski’s oeuvre is brought together as part of a publication titled The Sittings, a carefully curated collection of 113 portraits from the past twenty years featuring everyone from Zendaya to Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt to Leonardo DiCaprio. While the list of people who have sat for Lubomirski is vast, the book dedicates individual chapters to five of the photographer’s most photographed subjects: Julia Roberts, Kate Winslet, Lupita Nyongo, Jennifer Anniston and The Royals.

Accompanied by an exhibition at Claridge’s Hotel’s ArtSpace, The Sittings is not only an insight into the elusive world of celebrity but a testament to Lubomirski’s singular craft. Also a passionate environmentalist and campaigner, proceeds from the book’s sales will be donated to the humanitarian charity Concern Worldwide of which he is a proud Ambassador.

The Sittings book launches April 24th and the accompanying exhibition will run at the ArtSpace in Claridge’s Hotel from April 24th – May 15th, more info here
