Lanvin and Gallery Dept. return with a second paint-splattered collaboration
By Ella Joyce | Fashion | 24 March 2022

After the success of their first collaboration in the Spring of last year, Lanvin’s creative director Bruno Sialelli has reunited with the founder of LA design studio Gallery Dept. Josué Thomas for a sophomore paint-splattered capsule collection. Once again merging both creative’s signature aesthetics, the subtle sophistication of the Parisian house works in conjunction with Thomas’ artful streetwear to create unique pieces that celebrate the purity of craft.

Unpicking Lanvin’s codes, 90s style workwear silhouettes take us into the art studio, while haphazard paint splatter decorates pieces as unique compositions in ode to the artist’s process. Sitting centre-stage is Lanvin’s signature Curb skater sneakers, reimagined here with Gallery Dept.’s signature paint drip technique alongside a collection of logo tees, hoodies and sweats. A deconstructed double-breasted denim jacket and a belted mini dress accentuated with low-slung side pockets round out the collection with unique formality.
