HERO SESSIONS: Legss – Hyde Park Coroner

We’ve been championing London quartet Legss since we first saw them in 2019. All rhythmic shrapnel and contrarian critiques; there’s a coiled menace here that gets its kicks when you’re most off-guard. Now two EPs deep, with an impressive booklet of national rail tickets collected from sold-out gigs around the UK, and a fanbase significantly larger than the band itself, Legss are really starting to purr.

In an attempt to bottle this energy, we reached for our HERO Sessions format – documenting exclusive, intimate performances from the most exciting bands around – and captured a live rendition of the band’s latest track Hyde Park Coroner, a leering whodunnit led by a “snake-oil advantageous coroner, drunk on yesterday’s sacramental wine.” Directed by the band’s friend and frequent collaborator Will Reid (who also directed visuals for band’s track, On Killing a Swan Blues), we’re extremely pleased to introduce Legss, and their hit tune, Hyde Park Coroner.
