“Versus is about individuality, bravery and pleasure. This is for everyone who dares to  express themselves in everything they do,” said Donatella Versace of her first first solo outing for Versus Versace in almost a decade.

Taking place at Central Saint Martins, a wall of towering speakers and a branded mural made up completely of post-its notes greeted guests upon arrival. The CSM location also coincided with the announcement of the Gianni Versace Scholarship, on the twentieth anniversary of his passing the scholarship will provide financial support to a student on the MA Fashion Course at the famed London University.

The co-ed show kicked off with an array of plaid looks, across bikini tops, bucket hats and sleeveless overcoats. A selection of neon green looks punctuated a shift in the collection as things all went a bit Western, think double denim looks, studded cowboy panels and women’s fringed leather boots. Taking inspiration from the halycon days of bombastic 90s Versace, here Donatella was having fun and inviting us all along for thrills.
