With his debut show as creative director at Saint Laurent just twelve days away, today Anthony Vaccarello releases his new campaign for the French fashion house starring Polish model Anja Rubik and shot by Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin.

Set on the wharfs of the Seine, connecting Paris’ two banks, the image offers a subtle preview of the new Saint Laurent wardrobe: “juxtaposing leather, jewels and lace, drawing a femininity without frills.” This latest drop follows a series of stripped back short videos filmed by photographer Nathalie Canguilhem and an ad campaign shot by Collier Schorr.

Tapping photography duo Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin is an interesting move that harks back to YSL’s past, as the pair previously shot iconic campaigns for the house between FW07 and FW11, under Stefano Pilati’s creative direction.

Anthony Vaccarello will show his debut Saint Laurent collection on 27th September, whilst the full campaign will be debuted the following day.
