New look

Anthony Vaccarello releases his first teaser as creative director of Yves Saint Laurent
By Alex James Taylor | Fashion | 17 June 2016

In April this year, Anthony Vaccarello was appointed creative director at Yves Saint Laurent, following Hedi Slimane‘s decision to leave the Parisian fashion house.

Fast forward to today and Anthony Vaccarello has released his first YSL campaign imagery. Shot in Paris by Collier Schorr, the black-and-white imagery showcases fifteen new model faces and teases the former Versace Versus-man’s debut womenswear show for SS17, to take place during Paris Fashion Week in October.

The photographic drop comes alongside a series of videos directed by Nathalie Canguilhem. Giving away few clues, most of the models appear topless: presenting a new aesthetic whilst retaining a strong sense of mysterious surrounding how Vaccarello’s YSL interpretation will take form.

More images of the campaign will available to view on the YSL website and Instagram account on June 20th.
