As the January 2017 release date grows nearer, the hype surrounding Danny Boyle’s Trainspotting sequel is reaching peak momentum. Today, (via The Guardian) Boyle teases us with a short trailer showing original characters Renton (Ewan McGregor), Spud (Ewen Bremner), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller) and Begbie (Robert Carlyle) reunited on a train platform as Iggy Pop’s soundtrack-defining Lust for Life plays in the background.

Otherwise known as T2, cast and crew have been filming around Edinburgh for several weeks now, leading to glimpses being leaked online of the cast in action, including a glaikit-looking (that’s Scottish slang for foolish, FYI) Spud roaming down the Edinburgh streets.
