Starring role
For the past few years, our HERO Summer Zine cover star Spike Fearn has been on the rise, earning his stripes with roles in Charlotte Wells’ Aftersun, Fede Álvarez’s Alien: Romulus and James L. Brooks’ Ella McCay. But it was his recent turn as a lovestruck 20-something in Finding Emily that saw his profile skyrocket, artfully capturing the energy of a 90s romcom heartthrob with a modern, Manc twist. His next job is a little different, taking on the role of Loewe’s newest ambassador, joining the ranks alongside a host of stellar acting talent including David Jonsson, Julia Garner and Isla Johnston.
Attending his first show during the women’s FW26 season, Spike sat front row to watch Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez deliver a playful collection steeped in Spanish heritage and spirit. Speaking on his appointment, the design duo said, “Spike carries something rare. He has moved through grief, horror, comedy and romance without once flinching – and who brings to each something entirely unresolved. That live quality is what we look for.”
