One night in Paris

Behind the scenes on Gracie Abrams’ very Parisian Chanel film

Last month, Gracie Abrams was named the face of Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu, a new addition to Chanel’s fragrance repertoire and a continuation of the iconic Coco Mademoiselle scent first released in 2021. The announcement came just days before the release of the Grammy-nominated musician’s new album Daughter From Hell, which has now ranked number one on the Billboard charts. To continue Gracie’s reign as the newest Chanel It-girl, the French house has released an accompanying campaign film directed by English auteur Joe Wright, whose previous titles include the likes of Atonement, Pride & Prejudice and Anna Karenina.

Set in Paris during the twilight hours, Wright’s penchant for period drama is translated onto the city’s streets as Abrams, wearing a pristine white gown, takes on a spontaneous night. Picture-perfect vignettes unfold across Art Deco cafés and Parisian boudoirs, as Abrams returns from her adventures after a Cinderella-esque night in the French capital, just as the clock strikes midnight.
