Satellites II
First launched in 2018, Prada’s travelling social club and cultural platform has popped up in cities globally, opening its doors in London, Seoul, Dubai, Miami, and Paris. For Prada Mode’s fourteenth iteration, the brand took over the iconic Chelsea Hotel in New York City, in collaboration with Danish film director Nicolas Winding Refn and Japanese game creator Hideo Kojima.

Timing with the Tribeca Film Festival landing in the city, the event builds on Renf and Kojima’s previous collaboration, Satellites. An exhibition exploring themes of love, language, and creativity, Satellites II uses Chelsea Hotel to create a spatial narrative which moves between domestic and intimate environments to articulate the differences between private and public spaces. Alongside the exhibition, a series of cultural talks, concerts, and performances featuring high-profile voices in fashion, film and art will take place in the downtown hotel, drawing on the Chelsea’s storied history as a legendary gathering place for artists and cultural icons across generations.
