Proenza Schouler appoints Rachel Scott as new Creative Director
By Ella Joyce | 2 September 2025

Following the announcement of Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough’s departure from Proenza Schouler in January and their subsequent appointment at the helm of Loewe a few months later, the seat at Proenza is the last of the fashion musical chairs to be filled. Announced today, Rachel Scott of Diotima will be taking over as Creative Director of the New York-based brand.

Since launching her acclaimed brand Diotima in 2021, Scott has gone on to be awarded the CFDA Emerging Designer of the Year in 2023, followed by American Womenswear Designer of the Year in 2024.

Arriving at Proenza Schouler with a fresh vision for the house’s next chapter, Scott said of her appointment, “It is with great excitement that I join Proenza Schouler, a brand at the heart of American Fashion, and one I have long admired. I hold deep respect for the beauty and world Jack and Lazaro so brilliantly crafted, and I look forward to bringing my perspective in dialogue with their legacy. I am grateful to Shira for her trust, and I am honoured to step into this role to envision the next chapter of Proenza Schouler.”
