Acne Studios has opened a gallery in Paris
By Ella Joyce | Art | 17 June 2025

Acne Studios has long bridged the gap between art, design and photography, cemented by the launch of the brand’s bi-annual culture magazine Acne Paper in 2005. This month, the Stockholm brand is opening the doors to its first permanent gallery space, Acne Paper Palais Royal. Housed in the neoclassical arcades of the Palais Royal, the programme promises to offer an eclectic mix of exhibitions, artist talks, magazine launches, book signings, and cultural events spotlighting both established and emerging talent.

The gallery’s inaugural showcase will open on 26th June during Paris Fashion Week Men’s with a solo exhibition by Dutch artist Paul Kooiker, whose photography practice has spanned the worlds of art and fashion for over three decades. Kooiker’s new body of work captures forty-two striking portraits of international students at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, transforming the tradition of school portraiture into an unsettling document of the 21st century.

Acne Paper Palais Royal is located at 33/35 Rue De Valois, 75001, Paris.
