Never a house to fall short on campaign talent, for Loewe’s FW25 pre-collection shoot, Global Brand Ambassador Yang Mi stars alongside actors Josh O’Connor, Greta Lee and Stéphane Bak. Shot by New York-born photographer Gray Sorrenti against the backstop of a vast modernist mansion, the images continue Loewe’s character study-esque approach to their campaigns, “Are they rehearsing, or studying their role? Are they academics immersed in the midst of research, or writers delving into an intense period of work?,” asks the press release. Playing with the duality of pattern and proportion, the collection experiments with voluminous silhouettes, streamlined tailoring and abstract florals. Meanwhile, signature accessories such as the Puzzle and Madrid bags are reimagined with biker belts and frills.

For O’Connor, this marks his ninth campaign with the house, becoming Jonathan Anderson’s first menswear ambassador back in 2017. With the confirmed departure of Anderson earlier this year, it seems fitting that the actor would return for the designer’s swansong collection, but whether this will be his last for the house remains an unanswered question. Anderson is set to present his first collection at the helm of Dior during Men’s Fashion Week in June, leaving the fashion crowd asking if O’Connor will be the next Dior boy?
