Following the news that Jonathan Anderson is leaving the house after eleven game-changing years, Loewe now announces Proenza Schouler founders Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez as its new creative directors. The design duo will have the entire creative responsibility across all Loewe collections – womenswear, menswear, leather goods and accessories – and their appointment will take effect from 7th April.

Having met at Manhattan’s Parsons School of Design in 1998, McCollough and Hernandez founded New York brand Proenza Schouler in 2002 and quickly established themselves as one of the city’s most exciting young brands, cultivating a cool, downtown aesthetic that subtly pulled from the world of art and culture through sleek, craftful designs.

“We are incredibly honoured to join Loewe,” said Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, “a House whose values and mission align closely with our own. We look forward to working alongside its extraordinary teams and artisans, whose talent – under the exceptional creative direction of Jonathan Anderson – has shaped Loewe into the cultural force it is today. We extend our sincere gratitude to Bernard Arnault, Delphine Arnault, Sidney Toledano, and to Pascale Lepoivre for entrusting us with this remarkable house’s next chapter.”
