Time flies, so to keep you in the loop, we’ve rounded up all the important snippets of fashion news from the past seven days into one neat feature. 

Donatella stepped down at Versace
Yes, this week’s breaking news was a big one. Just as Paris Fashion Week finished, we received news that Donatella Versace will be leaving her role as chief creative director at Versace after 27 years, and Dario Vitale, former design director at Miu Miu, will take the reigns. End of one era, beginning of another.

Demna is the new creative director of Gucci
As if one major designer move wasn’t enough, hours after the Donatella news, the announcement that Demna is leaving Balenciaga and going to Gucci landed in our inbox. Who saw that one coming?! The Georgian designer has served as Balenciaga’s creative director since 2015 and will reportedly begin his role at Gucci this coming July.

Not your average Spareroom ad, Diesel’s latest campaign – The Houseguests – put together an eccentric shared living situation where the kitchen is bright pink, everyone wears exclusively Diesel SS25, and Katie Price is queen, in a shimmering embellished bikini 24/7. She’d have more than a quiet word if you leave your dirty dishes in the sink.

 

Louis Vuitton at Melbourne Grand Prix
The Parisian House officially kicks off its mega ten-year official Formula 1 partnership in Melbourne this weekend with the Australian Grand Prix 2025. As title partner, Louis Vuitton imagery will be displayed throughout the circuit, while the trophy will be cased in a signature LV Trophy Trunk decorated in Australia’s emblematic colours of green and yellow.

 

Umbro in Manchester
Founded in Wilmslow in 1924, Umbro has remained tied to the brand’s Manchester home – remember those classic Man City Umbro jerseys from the 90s/00s? Now, Umbro pays homage to its native city through a new collection of reworked vintage brand designs documented in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, featuring a new generation of local, emerging talent.

Duke + Dexter x Talk Nice Studios
Talk Nice Studios founder Ellis Gilbert has known the team at Duke + Dexter since the early days, hanging out at their Covent Garden store – distracting them from, you know, work. Now, the relationship has evolved into a new collaboration, featuring Duke + Dexter’s new Snake Waffle T-shirt and snake-effect mules with scaled leather uppers and a faux fur lining. Ellis pulled up in a Maybach with AJ Tracey in the passenger seat – see the imagery below.
