Burberry’s new campaign is fit for the British outdoors
By Ella Joyce | Fashion | 9 October 2024

As a pioneer of British outerwear, Burberry has spent over 165 years perfecting its craft, from protecting explorers in extreme climates to manufacturing the instantly recognisable silhouette of a Burberry trench. To honour its evolving dedication to outerwear, the brand’s latest campaign is an ode to just that, spotlighting this season’s jackets and coats on a host of Britain’s most famous faces. Shot against the drizzly backdrop of the British countryside or the London skyline, the likes of Barry Keoghan, Olivia Colman,  Cole Palmer, Eberechi Eze, Little Simz and Cara Delevigne stand in front of Alasdair McLellan’s lens.

Titled It’s Always Burberry Weather, the campaign takes its name from a slogan found in the Burberry archive in a nod to the durability in the unpredictable British climate. The collection features reimagined silhouettes of seven classic styles: the trench, the Harrington, the quilt, the puffer, the parka, the aviator and the duffle. Speaking on the campaign, Daniel Lee said; “Burberry is about protection, functionality and the outdoors. We are always inspired by our archive and the innovation and creativity of the brand. The campaign promotes the house’s silhouettes: protective and enduring.”
