Great Outdoors
As summer draws to a close, Burberry is getting ready for crisp winter walks and autumnal dressing with the unveiling of its latest campaign. Using the landscapes and people of the British house’s home turf as inspiration, Daniel Lee took his star-studded cast to the Lake District, “We were inspired by the characters who wear Burberry and the outdoors and landscapes that are part of the brand’s heritage. The Lake District feels familiar, and it has a sense of adventure,” he said in a statement.
Shot by esteemed photographer and long-time collaborator Tyrone Lebon, Lee’s cast is a who’s who of British icons and new generation It Girls with the likes of Agyness Deyn, Adwoa Aboah, Lila Moss and Lily Donaldson all taking a turn in front of Lebon’s lens. Allowing Burberry’s heritage to stand front and centre, the campaign’s backdrop lends itself to the collection’s earthy tones and functional silhouettes. Classic trench coats are fashioned in moleskin, wool and leather alongside kilts built from Burberry Check wool and tailoring inspired by the craftsmanship of Savile Row.
