Following recent partnerships with the likes of Sacia, Lacoste and JJound, A.P.C. has announced its latest collaborator as Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker. Presenting a collection that places “psychedelic minimalism” at the centre of its mood board sees the Parisian brand’s paired back aesthetic met in equal measure by Parker’s penchant for maximalism. Inspired by the post-hippie communes, the intentional-living movement of 1970s Australia and the musician’s personal meditation journey, each piece is crafted from sustainably sourced materials and natural dyes. Accompanied by campaign imagery shot by Sam Nixon, Parker and his cast are captured against Australia’s mountain ranges, chilling with alpacas, lying in flowery meadows and driving down the open road.

Speaking on the collaboration, A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou said; “When my daughter introduced me to Tame Impala, it struck me as a synthesis of everything I’ve liked since the 1960s, from Soft Machine to Pink Floyd. I immediately loved their musical singularity and their deceptively casual style.” The band’s louche, blissed-out soundscapes are mirrored in the muted colour palette and flowing silhouettes of the collection, complete with slogan tees featuring Tame Impala song titles such as breath deeper and multicoloured alpaca sweaters.
