In Waves
It’s been just under a decade since Jamie xx released his debut solo album In Colour – composed over a five-year period while touring with The xx, – and we’ve been eagerly awaiting a sophomore record ever since Loud Places became the 2015 song of the summer. Now, the wait is almost over: the British musician’s next album In Waves is set to drop on September 20th, a twelve-track LP featuring collaborations with Honey Dijon, Robyn and The Avalanches.
To mark the occasion, Jamie xx has collaborated with Tekla Fabrics on a limited-edition capsule collection of hooded bathrobes and beach towels printed in monochromatic graphics reminiscent of his upcoming album artwork – crafted from Tekla’s high-quality organic cotton and decorated with an embroidered Jamie xx logo. Speaking on the collaboration, Tekla’s founder and creative director Charlie Hedin said, “Jamie xx has been a part of Tekla’s community since the beginning. We are thrilled to celebrate this moment with him by bringing our worlds of music and design together.”
