Celine Beauté
As Hedi Slimane took a trip to the golden age of 60s glamour for Celine’s FW24 collection film La Collection de l’Arc de Triomphe, amid the mini skirts, pussy-bows and A-line shift dresses, a brand new cosmetic collection was unveiled: Celine Beauté. A first for the house, Celine Beauté was created by Slimane as an extension of the haute parfumerie collection, which has distilled the essence of the House into fragrances for the past five years.
While the full collection isn’t expected to drop until 2025, the models in Celine’s FW24 film exclusively wore La Peau Nue lipstick (translated as ‘bare skin’), a classic nude shade that emulated the timelessness of this season’s offering. True to the brand’s Parisian roots, a single red lipstick titled Rouge Triomphe will arrive this Autumn, before the fifteen satin-finish shades of the Le Rouge Celine collection are launched next year. Each product will be encased in a gold sheath embossed with Celine’s inimitable monogram. And rest assured Slimane’s foray into beauty will not stop at lipsticks alone, the announcement confirmed a new selection of beauty products will be introduced each season ranging from lip balms, mascaras, eyeliners, powder and nail polish.
