Hedi Slimane’s latest instalment in Celine’s Haute Parfumerie repertoire is inspired by the ritual and art of Parisian bathing. Revisiting Slimane’s Olfactory Journal, the new Céleste range embodies comforting notes of angelica, petitgrain and orris butter in the form of traditional splash cologne, body oil, bath milk, soaps and travel spray.

Imbued with an air of French elegance, the ritual of bathing personifies Celine’s codes of quality and care as Slimane explores the enjoyment of tradition and the pull of childhood nostalgia through the art of fragrance. Combining a universal experience with personal storytelling, speaking on the new range, Slimane said: “This is an essential gesture that systematically plunges me back into the gentle and soothing atmosphere of childhood. First, it is about pouring it into the bath water and surrendering yourself to the smooth, delicate and sugary notes of orange blossom. Then, after the bath, used as a body rub the Eau de Cologne Céleste will protect you all day long and veil your clothes in a soft and elegant scent.”
