Charles Jeffrey is no stranger to a little eccentricity and his latest footwear offering is no exception. Underpinned by experimental notions of queerness, Scottish folklore and club kid culture, Charles Jeffrey’s LOVERBOY has been relishing in the off-kilter for close to a decade. The Scottish designer’s Moccasin Moggies is an unconventional iteration of a classic, adding a spiky set of metal claws to the front of Italian leather slip-on loafers.

Accompanied by a campaign titled Not For…, the clawed shoe is photographed doing everything you definitely shouldn’t do when wearing spike-adorned footwear: play footsie under a pub table, clamber up a firetruck, and have a game of footie in the park. Nobody will mess with you in these, that’s for sure.
