Last season inside the iconic art deco Wiltern theatre, Hedi Slimane presented his Celine FW23 collection, and if you just can’t shake it (and don’t want to), you can now revisit the epic show via the French house’s newly-released film.

In an ode to the early 00s and a catalyst for indie revival, the collection riffed on Slimane’s signatures, updated, reworked and retuned. Silhouettes were cut tight, shoulders narrow and trousers drainpipe. Leather jackets were thrown over sequinned dresses, boots were fringed and suiting louche as a series of mirrorball eveningwear looks closed the show reflecting spotlights across the room.

Encore! The venue transformed for a night to remember. Iggy Pop, Interpol, The Strokes and The Kills all took the stage for headline heavy evening. Closed by the inimitable sound of The Strokes’ Is This It, the crowd leaped on stage and danced with Mr Casablancas and Co.
