We admit it, Luca Guadagnino‘s steamy, sporty new film Challengers has been on our mind ever since we first heard it was in production. Now, we get our first glimpse at the project. Set to the beat of 2010s Rihanna, the trailer is a two-and-a-half-minute slice of tennis and sexual tension – enjoy.

Zendaya stars as Tashi, a tennis player-turned-coach who has helped transform her husband, Art, played by Mike Faist, from a mediocre player into a world-famous Grand Slam winner. Josh O’Connor’s character Patrick is the closing corner of the love triangle, a once brilliant but now burnt-out hopeful, who not only used to be Art’s best friend but Tashi’s former boyfriend. Cue scenes of Zendaya’s character enjoying her own game of doubles.

Set for US release on September 15th, we’re hoping that may conveniently line up in time for a world premiere at this year’s Venice Film Festival. Can’t wait.
