Hedi Slimane has opened his first dedicated Celine Haute Parfumerie space outside of Paris, inside the Beauty Hall of London’s storied department store, Harrods. Follow the shimmer – a gold sculpture engraved with the Celine motif – and you’ll find the specially-designed space.

Echoing the Celine Haute Parfumerie at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, Paris, the Harrods installation features a monochrome marble floor, gold transom, and perfume fixture resembling a mirrored organ. Here, Celine’s extensive range of scents are housed, devised by Slimane, each in ode to specific references and landscapes from his life. For example, Eau de California is a homage to Slimane’s time living on the West Coast, filled with scents of palo santo, iris and tree moss, while Reptile is inspired by musicians, filled with deep cedar notes and accents of leather, pepper and musk. Also stocked are candles, jewellery, and scented bar soaps engraved with Celine’s Triomphe emblem.
