New Digs
Now a regular in the Milanese fashion calendar since debuting in the city last year, JW Anderson is officially planting some roots in the Italian capital with the opening of the brand’s second flagship store. Located in the heart of the Quadrilatero, the space continues the design language established in London’s Soho store by 6a Architects. Accented with bourgeois Milanese inflections, Anderson’s signature aluminium scaffolding and neon signage meet handmade terrazzo tile flooring and pillared interior.
Spread across 53 square meters, furnishing is sparse yet distinctly Anderson in both design and humour to allow for the store’s art collection to stand front and centre. Oil paintings by artist Hongyan in soft hues of greens and greys are juxtaposed with striking images from German photographer Wolfgang Tillmans lining the changing rooms.
JW Anderson’s store is located at via Sant’Andrea 16, 20121, Milan.
