Aprè-Ski
If you’re keen on the slopes this festive season, Gucci‘s debut Après-Ski collection should be at the top of your Christmas list. Designed for mountain leisure and beyond, the pieces also wouldn’t look out of place in London’s snowy streets as we (hopefully) head towards a white Christmas.
Expanding on their house codes, the collection fuses sporty, refined aesthetics with a healthy dose of kitsch playfulness. In a campaign shot by Canadian photographer Mark Peckmezian, Gucci’s retro-tinged alpine escape is captured against the backdrop of scenic peaks and charming chalets. Yes, we wish we were there.
The collection offers an array of skiwear-inspired coordinated sets decorated with signature GG monogram and cosy shearling trim, alongside updated iterations of classic handbags including the Gucci Horsebit 1955, Gucci Diana, and GG Marmont. Apparel pieces are accompanied by newly adapted accessories in the form of furry cold-weather boots and Gucci eyewear refashioned into ski mask silhouettes. The capsule also offers a glimpse of the forthcoming chapter of adidas x Gucci – we spy lavish puffers, trackies, knits and bags – alongside a set of aluminium suitcases created in collaboration with Italian luxury luggage brand FPM Milano in a continuation of the House’s Gucci Valigeria travel narrative.
