Shown in September in Milan, Maximilian Davis’ debut collection for Ferragamo was all sex, sunsets and New Hollywood glamour. A stunning start to the Mancunian-Trinidadian designer’s vision, inside a space cast in Ferragamo red, camel-toned formalwear and dusters and gowns walked alongside miniskirts, oversized knits and leather hotpants.
Now, ahead of the collection’s release next year, Davis is teasing the main drop with an exclusive edit, available for one month only. And with this comes a new virtual shopping space, The World of Ferragamo, a 3D sinuously-shaped environment decorated with marble dust reminiscent of the SS23 runway.
Within this setting, visitors are able to curate visual and design elements to create a personalised digital world, where they can then view garments on mannequins and pedestals as they navigate through the rooms. Here, discover ready-to-wear in homage to Salvatore Ferragamo’s designs for Marilyn Monroe (she wore his four-inch heels religiously), alongside fetish-inspired harness details and subversive second-skin creations adorned with shimmering embellishments.
