Boo! JW Anderson is offering up a spine-tingling Carrie-inspired capsule collection for all your Halloween needs. Collaborating with MGM to bring to life the cult horror across a range of ready-to-wear pieces and accessories, creative director Jonathon Anderson has honed the idea of sartorial scares.

Adapted from Stephen King’s novel of the same name in 1976 by Brian De Palma, as Carrie – played by Sissy Spacek – took revenge on her bullies using psychic powers her place in popular culture and the canon of cinematic thrillers was secured. Now an iconic blood-drenched costume recreated for Halloween by many every year, Anderson spotlights Carrie, as the moment she is crowned prom queen appears on graphic tees and satin shirts, while an homage to the original Carrie film posters screams across puffer jackets, printed co-ords and tracksuits, along with the excellent tagline: “If you’ve got a taste for terror, take Carrie to the party.”

First introduced as part of the women’s FW22 presentation earlier this year, the capsule was photographed by Juergen Teller on US actor Hari Nef as billboards of the shots travelled around the streets of Milan mounted on vans during fashion week. Now Teller reprises his role for the campaign images, starring British model Lily McMenamy.
