crack and sizzle
Frieze is back, and as the buzzy, annual art fair lands in London, MATCHESFASHION has released a jam-packed schedule to mark the occasion. Announcing partnerships with Michèle Lamy, Raf Simons, Christopher Kane, Ruthie Rogers and Antwaun Sargent across Frieze week, the brand’s 5 Carlos Place townhouse is set to be a hub of creativity.
First up, brilliantly Michèle Lamy will be taking up residency at her very own MICHMATCH cafe, hosting breakfasts with a bespoke menu crafted by renowned chef, Isis Neal. Titled, Eggs with Hun (Rick Owens’ nickname for his wife and muse), the menu will be serving up scrambled eggs, finger sandwiches and your morning caffeine hit alongside a curation of creative pioneer sous chefs, including photographer and filmmaker Matt Lambert, avant-garde artist David Hoyle and British photographer Platon.

Also on the MATCHESFASHION Frieze line-up, ahead of his highly anticipated rescheduled LFW show, now taking place this Thursday, Danish textile brand Kvadrat will be showcasing their latest collaboration with Raf Simons via a four-week custom-made installation. Eight years on from first teaming up on an upholstery range, now comes a full accessories collection that includes cushions, throws, tote bags, trays, a magazine holder, key chains, and much, much more. So effectively, you can have the coolest house on your street.
Also happening at 5 Carlos Place during Frieze: a fine jewellery pop-up by Brazilian-Lebanese designer Nadine Ghosn, a cookbook launch by Ruthie Rogers, owner of Michelin-starred restaurant The River Cafe, and a brunch panel talk with fashion designer Christopher Kane, creative director Tammy Kane, A Vibe Called Tech founder Charlene Prempeh and creative director Lewis Gilbert. It’s all going on.
