You might remember Hedi Slimane’s FW22 Celine Homme show for its pulsating soundtrack, composed by Swedish anti-pop outfit ShitKid, or perhaps the giant letters that hung over models and their suave get-ups as they delved further into Slimane’s glamorous wonderland. Most likely, though, you were taken in by the abundance of shimmer and sparkle that decked each jacket and trouser leg throughout the jubilant display, a tapestry of baroque glam-rock Slimane has worked tirelessly at over the years. 

Titled Boy Doll, the collection was a celebration of L’Olmypia’s iconic history as a landmark of Parisian cool. Steeped in the history of era-defining acts such as Ella Fitzgerald, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, the grand backdrop saw the glistening display intensify tenfold, capturing the nervous yet exhilarating jitters of a truly good night out with flashy, flouncy and tinsel-ified outerwear as far as the eye could see. Now, the collection suddenly comes into full focus via an exclusive capsule at Mr Porter.

In an exclusive edit from the premiere retailer, Celine’s FW22 collection has burst onto the site with the gravitas of a ballooning disco ball. We’re talking leopard print varsity jackets with rhinestone lettering, ‘Crybaby’ hoodies with glistening, bejewelled tears and blinged-out Christmas sweaters in Fair Isle wool – with matching jacquard beanies.

One bright tracksuit, studded head-to-toe with poppers, recalls Uma Thurman’s legendary Kill Bill motocross suit with a refined, loose-fitted brilliance, while an embellished leopard-print fleece and leather teddy jacket are at the top of our shopping list.
