AMIRI has opened a new Shanghai flagship store, the LA brand’s first outside of the US.

Located on the city’s iconic West Ninjang Road, the store translates Amiri’s Californian design codes to Shanghai. Spanning 580m2 across two floors, the interior mimics Amiri’s minimalist and craftful aesthetic: natural and industrial textures combine as suspended steel rails hang above marble touches and solid wood shelving. Elsewhere, lounge areas are defined by curated, bespoke furniture and – get this – a custom-made Amiri pool table, which is available for customers to play on and buy. Stocking the full range of Men’s and Women’s RTW collections, an exclusive Shanghai capsule reimagines Amiri classics in a deep navy hue.

Not only is this a major step physically for the brand, but it also coincides with Amiri joined several local online channels: Weibo, WeChat and Mike Amiri on RED, offering customers the opportunity to interact, unlock exclusive content and communicate with their communities.

This store opening follows Amiri’s return to the Paris menswear schedule last month, which saw Mike Amiri present a collection inspired by his adolescent years growing up in LA, dreaming big.
