Now in its seventh year, Palm* Photo Prize has returned to showcase another host of talented photographers. Accepting submissions from all over the world, the platform places a spotlight on the next generation of image-makers, all offering a unique array of styles and disciplines ranging from subtle portraiture to elaborate documentary photography. Having received over 6,800 submissions this year, the bar continues to be raised as the brilliance of both emerging and established photographers are given a stage to encourage conversations on human engagement, community and the continual progression of the printed image.

While a panel of six expert judges including Gem Fletcher and Alastair McKimm are set to select twenty finalists and two winners, the first round sees 108 images chosen to appear in an accompanying exhibition at London’s 10 14 Gallery. In the gallery below, we’ve curated a selection of our favourite images from this year’s competition, from teenage adventures to lovers in embrace.
