London menswear brand L.E.J. is set for a London residency

With over fifteen years of experience in the industry working for the likes of Lanvin and Dunhill, when designer Luke Walker launched his own brand L.E.J. in 2020, he had a fully-realised blueprint and skillset to work from. Since then, he’s gone from strength to strength, continuing to explore the modern menswear wardrobe by subverting tradition with casual elegance.

Now, marking the brand’s SS22 collection, Walker is set to open an intimate pop-up residency – titled SS00022 – in the heart of London’s St. James’ neighbourhood this month, affording customers the chance to get up close and personal with his latest seasonal drop.

Continuing his endeavour to re-contextualise workwear and soften the traditional masculine aesthetic, this latest collection builds on the brand’s ethos, combining artisanal Japanese silhouettes with soft, luxurious silks and cotton to create garments that fit intuitively. “We want every piece that we produce to look better with time than when it left us,” Walker told us in 2021, “And by better we mean worn, used, travelled, experienced, weathered, embellished, frayed and loved.”

After focusing predominantly on the art of creating the perfect shirt when first launching, L.E.J. now offers up a complete wardrobe of outerwear, knitwear and soft tailoring. Cast in a muted palette of pinks, pastel yellows and subtle brown tartan, louche silhouettes sit with constructed denim, as Walker expands his dynamic fusing of familiarity and sophistication.

The L.E.J pop-up is located at 12, Piccadilly Arcade, SW1, open from March 4th – March 30th.
