Dior skiwear: Kim Jones expands his partnership with artist Peter Doig
By Ella Joyce | Fashion | 7 December 2021

Following Kim Jones’ Dior menswear FW21 collaboration with Scottish artist Peter Doig and the success of house’s SS21 skiwear line, the artistic director is furthering this season’s menswear with a capsule designed for the slopes. Combining forces with Doig saw Jones’ FW22 show fuse art and fashion, and this collaboration is no different, it just needed a touch more practicality – cue partnerships with major ski performance brands Descente, POC and AK SKI.

Details and lines from the FW22 Dior collection are translated across oversized knitwear decorated in Doig’s artwork of a snowy mountainscape as a palette of oranges, blues and blacks remain a constant. Creating a streamlined aesthetic of form and function, Dior’s logo is consistent throughout the collection, adorning the front of a ski helmet, thick orange goggles and various apparel pieces. Alongside your gear, you can also grab a snowboard designed by AK SKI and laser-engraved with an oblique Dior motif, or a pair of ski’s cast in Dior blue.

On the subject of Dior, this Thursday will see Kim Jones return to London for a very special Dior SS22 menswear show in the capital. Keep hitting refresh on our homepage for our coverage from the event.
