Confidential

This new Marcelo Burlon monograph book takes the form of a police investigation

While the trajectory of Marcelo Burlon’s ascent into a powerhouse has been well documented – since his first line of t-shirts took over Milan’s club scene in 2012 – now comes the first monographic insight into the designer and his high-end brand County of Milan, arriving in the form of Confidential, an illustrated book blending fashion, music, nightlife, and aesthetic freedom.

Traversing creative disciplines with ease is second nature to the Argentina-born but Italian-based visionary, his repertoire boasting credentials as a DJ, photographer, event organiser, nightlife mogul, and of course, designer. From techno-loving club kid to fully-fledged fashion designer, the inclusive ethos of each endeavour has always remained the same: embrace and champion diversity.

Confidential therefore offers an eye-opening insight into the journey that formed Burlon’s fluid creative vision, sharing both a biographical overview and an imaginative dive into his inspirations and influences. Penned by one of Italian fashion journalist Angelo Flaccaventois and published by Rizzoli, the minimalistic cover art is deceiving as the book takes on the unique structure of a police investigation report: including a suspect, interrogations, evidence, accomplice profiles, and an affidavit describing Burlon’s life, brand, and creations. The tome is a welcome addition to any coffee table collection, transporting you to the nightclubs of Milan and fashion week glamour as you sip on your espresso.
